History
Established in1985 as a research based roller-polymer-coating company, APDI ltd quickly extended its activities into roller refurbishment and then into the re-manufacturing of the modules into which its original rollers were fitted.
New challenges were met as the Company’s portfolio of products expanded to include complex printer products such as Fuser modules and Xerographic modules, in both Mono & Colour technologies . Soon followed by Paper transport technology (including duplex exit modules) establishing a wide and varied product range, processed to fully remanufactured standard or light repair, in line with customer requirements
Recognising the competitive pressures of low cost manufacturing in Eastern Europe and Asia, in 2007 manufacturing in the Czech Republic commenced. The multi point strategy of development and manufacturing in the UK, supported by low cost volume production in Czech enables APDI to work closely with its customers technical partners, whilst delivering cost competitive product.
Sound operating systems and procedures have always been a vital component of the APDI philosophy. Having worked to detailed and structured operating processes for many years, in 2001 ISO 9001 approval was obtained, followed by ISO14001 in 2009 and in 2010 approval to the Code of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was achieved
The Company is privately owned and, having grown organically, is therefore free to focus its full efforts on delivering a bespoke service, assisting our customers by driving innovation in the ever competitive and changing commercial and environmentally conscious world within which we live. Our working practices, expertise and strategic direction for the coming years fully supports the principles of the Circular Economy, placing us in the forefront of remanufacturing for a wide range of customers and products.
